Have you seen the new home collection from H&M? During my daily search for Pinterest inspiration, I came across the image below from Bright Bazaar Blog, and found it so beautiful and soothing. I am loving the mix of neutral blacks and grays with pale colors like pink & smoky blue. There are also great patterns with a mix of texture such as velvet & linen. All of this at a price that won’t have me crying when my dog decides to use one of the pillows as his bed, or my son uses the same as a weapon against his older sister….
While searching for inspiration for my Family Room, I came across some FAB finds this week! The Threshold collection at Target right now is great! I’m currently loving bold prints combined with brighter solids, like the pillows you’ll find below from One Kings Lane & West Elm. I think they would look great with the Restoration Hardware wingback chair, which is on sale! Etsy has quickly become my go-to for great design at affordable prices.
It all started one fateful weekend…..I was on a girl’s trip, my husband was home with the kids. YES, we had a brand new King Headboard in storage that I’d had for months, but, like everything else, deliberating over exactly which mattress to purchase kept it sitting where it was…Well, my husband decided to do some rearranging while I was gone….forcing my hand so to speak! I returned home from my girl’s weekend to find my bed gone – moved to my daughter’s room – and the lone headboard sitting where my bed used to be. Deep breath in…..After my initial bout of unhappiness about my family’s “rearranging” project while I was gone, I had a vision…It was time to renovate this house. Our house is almost 20 yrs old, we’ve been here 7, this was the catalyst for change…

When I stumbled upon paintings by Clare Elsaesser, on Pinterest, I spent the next hour studying her work. I can honestly say I loved every piece….It’s relatable in the fact that you can almost feel yourself in her paintings. The colors she uses evokes such raw emotion that completely draws you into that space and moment.
One of my favorite things about the Holidays is receiving all of the cards. There are the ones you look forward to every year – showing children a year older, fun family vacations , weddings, new additions, etc..
Then, there’s the excitement of receiving a card from someone new. That card may read a simple “Merry Christmas,” or, it may give you a glimpse into their lives, with pictures and details of their families….Either way, I feel special to have received them, and look forward to displaying each and every one of them.
