I love hosting parties and get-togethers in my home. A noisy house full of people, laughter, & good food is honestly one of my favorite things! However, I’m finding that a lot of people don’t enjoy doing it themselves because they find it stressful and intimidating. It definitely doesn’t have to be, and I’m hoping this post gives you tips on throwing a stress-free, fun dinner or cocktail party of your own!
Today, I had the pleasure of hanging out with my teenage daughter. In between snacking, laughing, and crying, (we watched The Vow AND The Notebook…Yikes…) I decided to make lunch. I’ll admit, I haven’t been to the store in a while, and was totally prepared to order pizza until I saw a box of penne in the pantry. Using basic staples I already had in my refrigerator and pantry, I made a pasta dish that is not only comfort food at its best, but can also be ready in the time it takes to boil pasta. Less than 15 minutes!
